Website Security Policy

We are aware how important online secure trading is to our customers. We have implemented the strictest security protocols available and continually review and update security procedures as new technologies become available.

About Secure Socket Layout (SSL)

We use Verisign through BT Trustwise. This means that any information you enter into our online forms, such as personal details to obtain a quote, is automatically protected using Secure Socket Layout (SSL).

When you are browsing on a genuine SSL server, you will see a small padlock icon at the bottom of your browser. You can view the Security Certificate by double clicking on the padlock. It is always worth doing this to check that the certificate hasn't expired.

Your computer enters the secure area of the site and creates an encrypted link between your computer and our server. This encrypts all information passed between the two computers, preventing anyone else from reading or changing the information as it travels through the internet.

How to help keep your data safe

We need your help to make sure that information about you is kept as safe and secure as it can be.

Passwords

To ensure that you are the only person who can access your data you will be required to create both a unique security word and password as well as a user name ("Passwords"). To further help with security we ask you to select your own security word and password. We recommend that you use at least one number in the password.

You are responsible for the security and proper use of all these Passwords. Keep the passwords confidential, make sure you are not being overlooked when you are logging in. Never give your passwords to unauthorised people.

You must inform us immediately if you have any reason to believe that any Password has become known to someone not authorised to use it or if any Password is being or is likely to be used in an unauthorised way. If we have reason to believe that there is a likely breach of security or misuse of the Online Policy Booking system we may change any or all of your Passwords immediately and will notify you accordingly.

If you forget any Password, by contacting our Call Centre by telephone and satisfying the security checks we operate, you will be given a new Password to enable you to use the Service. You may change your Passwords and registration details on-line at any time.
